What People's Say About Place

It was my first time in here, although I've driven by quite often. The London fog was stellar, the barista took the time to explain to me how things work. I love that they don't do to-go's and paper cups. They only use glass jars. You charge a deposit for it but you can come back and swap it out for your next coffee. The place is beautiful. It's the kind of place where there's a sign inviting kids to come and do their homework and have free pizza; nd there's tampons and maxi pads in the bathroom if you need it. It's warm, inviting, and Pee-wee's playhouse was on the wall. It was definitely a great experience, and I can't wait to go back.

The place deserves 11/10 stars, the staff were sooo nice and welcoming and the space itself is extremely fun and inviting. It’s more than a coffee shop, it feels like a community especially with how many local products it features within the store.

PH Coffee has been one of the best things to happen to Northeast KC. I am not exaggerating. They have been a prominent feature in the community in regard to providing needed services (like a free clothing exchange), supporting inclusivity, hosting neighborhood meetings, organizing fairs for the arts, fronting anti-crime campaigns, cheerleading for other coffee shops and businesses, and so much more. Yes, they make drinks, breakfast food, sandwiches, and treats, but it’s also worth mentioning that they do so much more than just provide a food service. They’ve been good for the mind and soul as well. They’ve given us a sense of community again. As for my drink, the house-made chai is simply DIVINE. It is so very delicious, full of spice flavor, and they make it themselves. Mine was iced. I haven’t been back in a few months, and I still dream about this drink. I will be getting it hot in autumn, that’s for sure. They’ve brought back the snow cones. So far, I’ve only seen them offered on the weekends. How CUTE is their little snow cones trailer and patio?! I love the fresh herbs and plants growing around the lot. TIP: to support and encourage sustainability, they use glass jars instead of disposable cups. If you’re drinking in the building, there’s no extra charge for that. Enjoy your drink and place the glass in a designated spot near the counter before you leave. But if you take your cup to-go, they charge a small fee much like Shatto Milk does for their bottles, or like how Aldi uses a quarter system for their carts so customers are motivated to return them. You will get that glass fee back if you bring back their cup(s).

Passing through KC and had some delicious coffee & amazing service (TYSM Dave)! Wish we lived closer, would absolutely be regulars at this spot. Also - the reusable jar + koozie thing is very cute and appreciate the sustainability.

Just downright lovely vibes. PH creates a warm and welcoming community space for all, including a kid's zone towards the back. I brought my laptop to get some work done today and was pleased to find a charger under most of the tables. I had the honey bear latte and it healed my heart a bit. ⭐

I stopped in here because I needed a restroom, but wow, I'm so glad I found this place. It's so comfortable and quiet. The baristas were friendly and helpful. The coffee was delicious, and I love that they make their own syrups. The decor was gorgeous, quirky, and understated, and it gave very cozy vibes. And even though I don't have any need for it, I loved that there was a play area for kids! Incredibly thoughtful. This is one of my new favorite coffee shops, and I can't wait to come back here!

This place made my heart sing. Randomly stopped in when out running errands. First I noticed the warm and inviting atmosphere: lots of windows and natural light, healthy plants everywhere, brick walls, tin ceiling, wood floors, comfy seating, soft jazz music in the background, Bob Ross painting away on the projection screen, people sitting and enjoying each other's company. Then I noticed the bins to collect donations of food and clothing, the kids' art/activity area in the back, and the spot on the wall for people to put up the names of loved ones they're missing during the holidays. And they don't do single-use plastic, they have reusables to take with you and bring back! The barista, Matt, was super kind. And the coffee was great (if that matters to you in a coffee shop review, haha). Seriously, love. Walking into this place is like seeing an old friend. The kindness and caring for people just seeps out of the walls. Wish I lived closer to visit more often.

Lovely experience, warm, friendly atmosphere. I wish I could give an extra star for the wonderful play area for the kiddos. Absolutely love the extra mile they go to make the place as "green" as possible, low waste, reusable everything.
